The one handed bandit from before finds them and attempts to rape Teresa but he is stopped by Clare.Teresa begins to understand that Clare was helping to comfort her because they had both been treated badly.Teresa goes to another town to kill a yoma and decides to leave Clare with a couple who live there.When she is a few miles away she sees the bandits and notices they are after the town and goes there to try to save them.When she arrives the towns people are dead and Clare is being held by the bandits.Teresa kills the one handed guy and then the rest of the bandits.Later Clare is captured and Teresa is attacked by four other Claymores who attempt to kill her (she killed humans and that is forbidden) but she injures all of them and escapes with Clare.
