This is one of the most original stories i have seen in an anime.Guy tries and fails to hang himself because he is saved by a very strange girl.She then insists that he wasnt trying to kill himself just make himself taller! She thinks this because her parents used to do that too.

Then later she meets him again because he is her new teacher.He is always depressed and she is always positive all the time.
His name is Nozomu Itoshiki which is read as Despair if written horizontally.She (Kafuka Fuura) tries to make him feel better but makes it worse.He goes to the school counsellor who doesn't seem to care but she does at least listen to him but no one seems to take it seriously that he wants to die.
There are also some other minor characters but most of the class are just blank faces.This is just a introduction to the characters and i cant wait till something more interesting happens but it was a great first episode.

The animation style is odd and very different to anything i have seen before.The comments on the blackboard are amusing and odd,they remind me of the ones in Pani Poni Dash.This is only the second anime of this season that i have had time to watch and it is the best one ;) This is definitely one that i will be watching every week.
